SALVATION

1. ADMIT that you are a lost sinner in need of God’s salvation. The Bible says, “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God [and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 3:23; 6:23)

2. BELIEVE that Jesus Christ died for your sins. The Bible says, “But God commendeth [demonstrated] his love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8) “Believe on [trust] the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved…” (Acts 16:31)

3. CONFESS Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord over your life. The Bible says, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus , and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation…whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:9-10, 13)

Please understand that there are no magic words or a secret prayer formula that results in your salvation. The suggested “prayer” below may help to take that initial step in approaching this Holy God against whom you’ve rebelled and offended through your sin.

You might say:

“Dear God, I know that I am a sinner; and because of my sin I am eternally separated from You. I no longer want to reject or ignore You; I acknowledge that Jesus Christ died for my sins on the Cross and then rose from the dead. The best way I know how, I’m asking You to forgive my sins; I openly receive Christ as my Savior and living Lord, turning from my sinful past. Right now I choose to follow Jesus and willingly submit to God’s plan and purpose for my life. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.”

If you have sincerely prayed to receive the Lord Jesus Christ, share that decision with someone. I’d also be happy to know. (click the button below)
